1. Safety Excellence
Our project approach and documented procedures ensure safety is a priority for the entire project team. To successfully execute complex projects, we must maintain a healthy and safe workforce of employees, subcontractors, and client personnel.
Nafal’s HSE policy includes the following requirements:
- Activities are undertaken to avoid environmental impact, or, when avoidance is not feasible, reduced to an acceptable degree.
- Each project has a Health & Safety Rep responsible for the program.
- Employees are responsible for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) in the tasks assigned to them. In other words, working safely is a requirement of employment. Nafal strives to ensure no harm comes to project employees, visitors, and neighboring communities.
- Nafal audits, monitors, appraises and verifies HSE performance, using metrics and incentives approved by the client.
- Nafal develops & implements project-specific HSE program in line with legal requirements, safety standards & client procedures. HSE program applied throughout project & drives performance improvement. Nafal's health & safety systems & procedures confirm consistent approach.
- Nafal sets criteria to limit worker exposure to hazardous work methods, materials, noise and extreme temps. This safeguards employees, clients and 3rd parties.
- Nafal supports HSE culture & offers multilingual training where needed.
- Nafal offers both individual and organizational incentives to recognize and reward excellent safety performance.
- Nafal's subcontractors must follow a specific HSE plan outlined in contracts, and all plans must be approved before use.
- Before any engineering, procurement, and construction activities are carried out, Health and Safety hazards must be identified, assessed, understood, and addressed.
